Privacy Policy

Effective 6 October 2026. This policy explains what personal information Redrock Acoustics LLC collects through this website and the SpeaD software, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

Redrock Acoustics LLC, 5 Sundagger Loop, Placitas, NM 87043, USA (“Redrock”, “we”) is responsible for the information described here. Contact: pt@redrockacoustics.com · 505.699.4103.

What we collect

  • When you contact us or apply for the beta: the details you type into the form or email — typically your name, company, email address, country and your message.
  • When you register SpeaD: your name, company, email address, phone number, country, state or province, city, industry, job title and how you heard of SpeaD, and the IP address the registration came from.
  • When you activate SpeaD and while it runs: your licence key, an identifier derived from the computer’s hardware, the computer’s name and Windows version, and the times of licence checks. SpeaD does not read or send the contents of your files or designs to activate or check a licence.
  • When you send a report from SpeaD (Help > Send Feedback): the information shown in the report form, which may include your contact details, the open design file, screenshots and a technical log.
  • When you buy: online orders are handled by Paddle.com, which collects your payment and billing details under its own privacy policy and tells us your name, email address, country and what you bought. We do not receive or store your card details. For bank transfer orders we keep your company, address, contact details and the invoices we issue.

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Why we use it

  • To issue, activate and verify licences, and to stop a licence key being shared or used on more computers than it allows.
  • To deliver the software, updates and release notices, and to answer your questions and reports.
  • To fix problems and improve SpeaD, using the reports you choose to send.
  • To run the beta programme.
  • To keep the business, tax and accounting records the law requires.
  • To detect abuse of the registration system, such as many registrations from one address.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only with the service providers that run these functions for us, and only for that purpose:

  • Paddle.com — online payment, invoicing and sales tax.
  • DigitalOcean — hosting of our licence server (data centre in Frankfurt, Germany).
  • Brevo — delivery of our system emails, such as verification codes and licence keys.
  • Google (Gmail, Google Drive and Google Sheets) — our email, and our record of bug reports and feature requests.
  • Our website host — the contact form.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Where it is stored

Your information is stored in the United States and in the European Union. If you are outside those places, it is transferred there so that we can provide SpeaD to you.

How long we keep it

We keep licence and registration records for as long as your licence is in use and for a reasonable period afterwards to support re-installation and transfers. Invoices and payment records are kept for as long as tax law requires. Bug reports are kept until the issue is closed and for as long as they remain useful for product history. You can ask us to delete information sooner, as below.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for a particular purpose. Email pt@redrockacoustics.com and we will reply within 30 days. Deleting registration or activation records ends the licence they belong to. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.

Security

Licence and registration data is held on access-controlled servers and transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Licence files on your computer are digitally signed and cannot be altered without detection.

Children

SpeaD is professional engineering software and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
