Static and packaging analysis

Redrock offers several mechanical FEA services. These include static analysis of stress and strain for failure prediction (think basket designs that don't crack or bend during drop testing) and packaging analysis.

Nonlinear suspension design — the hard part

Nonlinear mechanical FEA lets us design spiders and surrounds that meet performance targets the first time. This engineering discipline is equal parts technology, experience, materials science, and a little bit of magic. We have probably designed more speaker parts using nonlinear FEA than even the largest engineering houses.

Why it matters

Suspension design is often performed by trial and error, resulting in less than perfect matching of components. Our designs deliver better performance, longer product life, and fewer failures.
